The case of Celeste Rivas, the 14-year-old whose body was discovered in the trunk of singer D4vd’s Tesla, continues to raise troubling questions.

 While law enforcement has yet to make an arrest, new revelations from D4vd’s friends suggest that many in his circle believed Rivas was 19 years old. They say she carried multiple fake IDs, attended age-restricted parties, and even presented herself as a student at USC.

Sources close to the Los Angeles music scene told TMZ that Celeste was frequently seen alongside D4vd at parties and hangouts. “It appeared to us they were a couple,” one acquaintance shared, adding that her presence in clubs reinforced the belief that she was an adult.

Who Was Celeste Rivas?

Celeste Rivas, whose full name was Celeste Rivas Hernandez, often ran away from what police described as a “troubled home.” According to her mother, she had been dating someone named David before her disappearance. She was reported missing in 2024, and her decomposed body was not found until September 8, 2025, inside D4vd’s abandoned Tesla.

The body was discovered after neighbors reported a foul odor. Authorities said it was wrapped in plastic and so badly decomposed that it wasn’t fully intact. She was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow bracelet, and metal stud earrings. A distinctive tattoo on her index finger reading “Shhh…” mirrored one worn by D4vd — though other celebrities like Rihanna and Lindsay Lohan also have similar ink.

Unanswered Questions

Neighbors claim they saw Celeste with D4vd just weeks before her body was discovered, sparking theories about when and how she died. Some speculate she fled from his Hollywood Hills apartment, while others believe she may have died there. Police have not released an official cause of death, nor have they confirmed when she died.

On September 17, LAPD seized a computer and bags of evidence from the Hollywood Hills home where the Tesla was abandoned. Despite the raid, the department has not clarified D4vd’s role in the investigation.

Fallout for D4vd and Celeste Rivas

Interscope Records, D4vd’s label, has reportedly pulled all promotional material amid the homicide probe. Meanwhile, D4vd’s manager has ended the lease on his Hollywood Hills apartment, and belongings are being moved out.

As conspiracy theories swirl online, the LAPD remains silent. For now, the tragic death of Celeste Rivas leaves more questions than answers.
