eFileCA Platform Declares AWS Outage ‘Resolved’ Despite Ongoing Email Disruptions Affecting California Legal Filings
Tyler Technologies confirmed the AWS-related outage and maintained contact with Amazon Web Services throughout the incident to restore impacted services. By October 20, 2025, the company declared the outage “RESOLVED” in official communications.
However, the platform’s own status page revealed a more complex picture this morning. At 7:54 AM Pacific Time on October 21, 2025, eFileCA acknowledged that while core filing functions had returned, “there may… be a delay in the sending and receiving of emails for these services.”
This email disruption represents more than an inconvenience. Legal professionals rely on immediate email confirmations to verify successful filings, court acceptance, and rejection notices that require rapid correction and resubmission to meet statutory deadlines.
What It Means for California Legal Professionals
Attorneys across California can resume submitting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents through the eFileCA platform. The ability to search case records through re:Search has also been restored, allowing legal research and case status verification to continue.
