Inflation continues to haunt the White House in Biden's America. Months ago, Republicans warned that the end result from all of President Biden's spending packages and stimulus checks would be inflation; Biden didn't listen, though. Recent polling shows that the troubled economy has Biden struggling with support from Independent voters. Right now, less than half of America's Independents favor the job that Biden is doing. That means there's no hiding or distracting from it. This week, New York's Federal Reserve Bank confirmed that worries about inflation are grim and very much alive.

As it turns out, Americans across the board are anticipating higher inflation; however, older people worry more than their younger counterparts. People below the age of 40 project that inflation will rise by 4% over the next year. Meanwhile, people between the ages of 40 and 59 anticipate a 4.5% increase of inflation. That leaves folks 59 years old and above with projections that inflation will jump by 5.9%. As time passes, inflation projections have worsened, thus far. This is furthermore reflected by the continued increases in prices for essentials. Fees for rent, the housing market, gas, groceries, and more are surging. This latest news from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York also comes at an interesting time. Political analysts are showing that Independent voters in America are increasingly displeased with President Biden. As it turns out, one of the greatest qualms that Independents have with the 46th president is the handling of the economy.

A reckoning for the Biden administration?

Next year's midterms races could very well be a reckoning for the Biden administration. They will certainly serve as a test of whether or not Americans are pleased with the direction Biden's taking this country. Republicans are hard at work to win the midterms. Right now, polls and projections indicate that the GOP is likely to regain the House of Representatives; likewise, winning back the Senate majority is also very much possible for Republicans next year. GOP victories in the midterms could also lay the groundwork for a Republican to become the 47th president after the 2024 election.
