Over the weekend, Kelsea Ballerini made her debut on "Saturday Night Live," achieving the pinnacle of success in late-night television.

The talented country-pop artist showcased her skills by performing two songs on the influential sketch comedy program. One of the performances was a powerful rendition of "Penthouse," a standout track from Ballerini's surprise EP, "Rolling Up The Welcome Mat," which was released last month. The emotional piano-and-vocals performance left a lasting impression on the audience.

Ballerini, a 29-year-old native of Tennessee, went through a difficult time after her nearly five-year marriage to fellow singer Morgan Evans ended in August of last year. However, she has channeled her experiences into her music, creating a powerful and heartfelt body of work that has resonated with fans around the world.

Ballerini donned a pristine white outfit and delivered a powerful performance of "Kiss Me Like A Stranger," singing, "Last night I kissed someone new, but now I don't know where you're sleeping, baby. We got along well until I wanted out, and now I know you hate me."

Earlier in the show, she also performed "Blindsided," a pop-infused track from her "Welcome Mat" project, backed by a six-piece band. During the song, a dancer in silhouette mirrored her performance behind a blue-and-white screen. Ballerini even added a new line to the song, seemingly referencing her ex-husband's latest breakup single, "Over For You," which added to her post-divorce creative energy.
