Earlier this month, left-wing political analysts warned that Democrats could face trouble in the 2022 midterms if they fail to follow through on their agenda.

Just recently, Democrats in Congress suffered a fairly significant defeat when they failed to advance their elections takeover legislation through the Senate; this failure later resulted in President Biden sicking the Justice Department on Georgia, following the state passing an election integrity bill known as S.B. 202.

Many progressives and left-wing populists are eager to see big changes and reforms passed by Democrats in Washington D.C. These leftists believe that since Democrats currently hold the White House and both congressional chambers, there are no excuses.

On Monday, leftist demonstrators made known their frustration with what they view as lack of progress by swarming the White House.

Left-wing protests at the White House yesterday

Less than 24 hours ago, leftist activists linked to the Sunrise Movement gathered outside the White House.

These demonstrators' main objective was to push President Biden into not accepting any infrastructure legislation that fails to address climate change; it is worth noting that yesterday's White House demonstrations occurred after news of Biden reaching bipartisan agreement with GOP lawmakers.

Sunrise Movement protesters also held up various signs noting their grievances. Some of the signage read "our future is not negotiable" and "Biden, you coward, fight for us."

These left-wing activists also didn't hesitate to block various entrances to the White House either. Furthermore, Democrat Reps. Cori Bush and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made appearances at the White House protests yesterday.

Will the demonstrations make a difference?

Monday does not mark the first time that the left has chastised Biden for not being liberal or progressive enough.

Another instance like this arose surrounding the issue of student loan debt. Many Democrats believe that Biden should cancel loan debt across the board; however, the 46th president made clear months ago that he will not do this.

Ultimately, time will tell what all results from the scene outside the White House on Monday. Progressives continue to make clear that they have no interest in any of their party members compromising with Republicans.
