Boston-based Manulife Investment Management announced Wednesday that it has successfully clinched its second private equity fund, amassing $810 million in commitments. The fund, Manulife Private Equity Partners II LP, is part of Manulife’s strategy to offer specialized solutions for investors seeking enhanced exposure to private equity opportunities.

The fund was seeded with a portfolio selected in partnership with AlpInvest, a subsidiary of private equity giant Carlyle. This portfolio includes private equity fund interests and co-investments in North American buyout funds, involving over 30 private equity managers.
