Bret Taylor, the new chairman of the board, announced that Microsoft would hold a non-voting observer seat, ensuring a continuous link with Satya Nadella.

Insights into Firing

Notably absent from the returning lineup is Ilya Sutskever, OpenAI’s co-founder, former chairman, and chief scientist. Sutskever originally signed the letter ousting. Within days he came out publicly regretting the Board’s decision. 

Altman expressed deep respect for Sutskever, but his exact role within the restructured company remains uncertain.
