According to Federal Election Commission filings, those pardoned collectively donated about $250,000 to Trump’s political committees between 2024 and 2025. Georgia businessman David Hanna, a fake elector and CEO of Atlanticus Holdings Corporation, gave the largest sum—approximately $145,500.
Crypto executives and donors also featured prominently. Trump’s October 21 pardon of Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao came just months after Zhao’s company worked with Trump’s World Liberty Financial platform to issue the USD1 stablecoin. The Wall Street Journal reported that Binance engineers helped build technology for the token, though World Liberty denies any connection to Zhao’s pardon.
