Twin Peaks files for Chapter 11

Twin Peaks’ parent company has stepped into bankruptcy court, marking a pivotal moment for the sports-bar chain known for pairing game-day energy with casual dining. Twin Hospitality Group, which owns and operates Twin Peaks and Smokey Bones, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the company confirmed.

According to the filing, Twin Hospitality commenced voluntary Chapter 11 proceedings Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, setting the stage for a court-supervised restructuring rather than a shutdown.

Restaurants to Remain Open

Despite the bankruptcy filing, the company said customers are unlikely to notice any immediate changes.
“Throughout the Chapter 11 process, Twin Hospitality expects the brands will remain open and operating as usual,” the company said in a statement.
