The four-issue anthology project, titled From the World of Minor Threats: Welcome to Twilight City, will blend new and established characters and is set to be published by Dark Horse Entertainment next year.
First Issue Release
The series will kick off on March 12, 2025, with the first issue crafted by Fraction and Allred. Subsequent issues will feature diverse creative teams:
- Issue No. 2: Written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Soo Lee (The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos).
- Issue No. 3: Written by Gail Simone (Uncanny X-Men) and drawn by Gene Ha (Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons).
- Issue No. 4: Written by Gerry Duggan (Falling in Love on the Path to Hell) and illustrated by Mark Torres (Cold Spots).
Exploring Overlooked Characters
Oswalt and Blum conceived the anthology series as a way to explore subgenres within the superhero and villain universe. Their previous spin-offs, including The Alternates (psychedelic superheroes), The Brood (a Wes Anderson-style family drama), and Barfly (a punk rock coming-of-age story), showcased their penchant for genre-bending narratives.
