“We must send the unmistakable message that in the 21st century, a dictator cannot conquer or carve up his neighbors’ territory,” the White House emphatically asserts.

This allocation includes $44.4 billion for the U.S. Department of Defense to replenish military equipment and bolster the country’s defenses. Additionally, $16.3 billion is earmarked for the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Agency for International Development to provide unspecified but essential “economic, security, and operational assistance.”

Supporting Israel’s Defense

The next significant tranche, amounting to $14.3 billion, is aimed at supporting Israel in its ongoing conflict with Hamas. The recent attacks initiated by Hamas on October 7 have led to a severe security crisis, necessitating this financial infusion to help Israel reestablish territorial security and deterrence.
