Double Homicide Sparked Federal Investigation
Casap now faces nine felony charges in Wisconsin, including two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of hiding a corpse, according to court records and a criminal complaint filed in late March. On the federal level, he is being investigated for presidential assassination, conspiracy, and use of weapons of mass destruction, according to the FBI.
The victims—Casap’s mother, Tatiana Casap, and stepfather, Donald Mayer—were reportedly killed on February 11. Their bodies were not discovered until February 28, when Waukesha County Sheriff’s deputies performed a welfare check at their residence on Cider Hills Drive.
The welfare check was prompted by Mayer’s mother, who was concerned after receiving “suspicious or weird text messages” and learning that her grandson had not attended Waukesha West High School for two weeks.
