Next year, Americans will have to decide which political candidates should make it to the 2024 general election. Right now, Republicans and Democrats are both in the middle of partisan primaries, trying to convince voters they should win the respective nomination.

On the left-wing side, Joe Biden looks to be a shoo-in.

Earlier this year, the Democratic National Committee announced it wouldn’t host any presidential debates. Then, in November, Americans learned the Florida Democratic Party would cancel the state’s primary and only submit Biden’s name as a candidate.

The latter decision triggered a lawsuit against both the Florida Democratic Party and Cord Byrd, Florida’s secretary of state. In the suit, the plaintiff argues other Democrats seeking the 2024 nomination – like Rep. Dean Phillips – deserve to have their names on the ballot so voters can ultimately choose for themselves.

As all this plays out, Phillips continues to stress that Biden doesn’t have what it takes to bring home another win in 2024.

The latest from Phillips’ presidential campaign

During interviews and on social media, the Minnesota congressman is hammering Biden. Phillips asserts that while he previously backed and voted for the current president, he’s on a fast track to losing a general election to Trump, should the 2024 race come down to a 2020 rematch.
