In preparation for the high-profile global events coming in 2026, the San Francisco 49ers announced plans to invest $200 million to revamp Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. This ambitious upgrade project, revealed Tuesday, is designed to enhance fan experience with faster Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art concession stands, and updated luxury suites. A significant portion of the investment will also go toward upgrading the stadium’s 13,000 square feet of LED screens, providing a more immersive viewing experience for spectators.

Preparation for FIFA World Cup and Super Bowl

These upgrades are not just for the regular season. Levi’s Stadium is preparing to make history as the first venue to host both the FIFA World Cup and the Super Bowl in the same year. As excitement builds, the team is focused on ensuring the stadium remains a world-class destination for sports and entertainment events.

Brent Schoeb, the 49ers’ chief revenue and marketing officer, emphasized the stadium’s evolution over the past decade. “Together with our 49ers Faithful fans, members, and corporate and event partners, we have collectively made Levi’s Stadium a world-class sports and entertainment destination,” Schoeb said. He added, “As we embark on the next decade of 49ers games, Super Bowl 60, FIFA World Cup, concerts, and other events, we will continue investing in the fan experience.”
