Wiretaps Reveal Andrew Tate’s Efforts to Connect With Politicians, Discredit Accusers Amid Human Trafficking Allegations

On Monday, Andrew Tate launched yet another unsuccessful appeal to get out of prison in Romania. Presently, Tate remains detained as Romanian law enforcement investigates him for rape, organized crime, and human trafficking.

Due to his latest lockup extension, Tate will now continue to sit in a cell until at least March 29. DIICOT, Romania's task force that works to stop organized crime, could seek a fourth extension of his detainment next month, should they deem it necessary.

Court of Appeals judges in Romania have cited wiretapped phone calls made by Tate while in detention as part of the reason why they rejected his appeal to get out of detention and extended his lockup time through March.

Per their accounts, Tate expressed his intent to run away to Dubai in order to evade justice in Romania. Now, more information has come out about statements made by Tate on wiretapped phone calls, amid his detention.

Does Tate know he's being recorded on these phone calls?

The statements made by Andrew Tate beg to question if he's aware that any phone calls he takes while in Romanian detention will inevitably be reviewed by the nation's law enforcement.

Nevertheless, on said calls in late January, Tate presses associates of his to make contact with Diana Iovanovici-Sosoaca and George Simion. Both of these individuals are right-of-center politicians in Romania.

Tate wants Iovanovici-Sosoaca and Simion to support him. He made this clear upon telling his associate to let these politicians know their careers would reap rewards from backing him.

It doesn't appear as though either of these right-wing politicians wants anything to do with Tate, however.

Iovanovici-Sosoaca, for instance, has gone on record claiming anything said on these calls are lies. Meanwhile, Simion made it clear he received no contact from Tate and wouldn't offer his support to Tate even if the latter did reach out.

There's more, though.

Going after his accusers from behind bars

Not only did Tate seek the support of the aforementioned politicians, per the transcripts from the wiretapped calls, but he also sought to discredit the women accusing him of rape and human trafficking.

While in detention, Tate informed his associate to share alleged clips from a Bucharest party that have at least one accuser dancing. Tate then states his associate should mention the woman's kidnapping accusations against him, while presenting the alleged video clips as evidence to the contrary.

On this call, when the associate asks Tate if he wants his accusers "discredited" with a "pull hard" on social media, Tate's exact response is as follows:  "Yes, screw them."

Earlier this month, these wiretapped phone calls appeared before Romanian court. Prosecutors, who have since successfully had the court extend Tate's detention time through most of March, used them as evidence of why Tate should remain in lockup.

Anyone who wishes to report what they believe to be human trafficking can contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline via phone at 1 (888) 373-7888 or by text at 233733.
