Las Vegas Police Execute Search Warrant in Tupac Shakur Murder Investigation

Las Vegas police recently carried out a search warrant in Henderson, Nevada. It was part of their continued investigation into the cold case murder of iconic West Coast rapper Tupac Shakur. 

The search warrant is a significant development in a two-decades-long investigation. Shakur’s murder has never been solved. 

Death of Tupac Shakur 

On September 7, 1996, Tupac Shakur was riding in a BMW driven by rap producer Marion “Suge” Knight on the Las Vegas Strip when a white Cadillac pulled up alongside their vehicle.

The occupants of the Cadillac opened fire, striking Shakur three times in the chest. He and Knight were rushed to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. And Shakur succumbed to his injuries six days later, on September 13. 

The case has remained unsolved, leaving Shakur’s murder shrouded in mystery for over two decades.

Las Vegas police executed a search warrant in Henderson, Nevada, on July 17, 2023, as part of their ongoing investigation into Tupac’s homicide.
