Earlier this year, Joe Biden went on the record confirming he will be pursuing a second term in the White House. Thus far, Biden’s also made it clear that he believes if the 2024 presidential election comes down to a rematch against Trump, he’ll ultimately be able to beat the former president again.
Certain Americans aren’t so sure about this, though. In fact, various polls have shown Biden and Trump to be neck-in-neck with one another.
For some Democrats, this is too close for comfort. In different circles, there’s also been talk about swapping out Biden (as the presumptive 2024 Democratic nominee) for someone like California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
This may just be the beginning of the president’s problems. According to a new Gallup poll, Biden’s seen a double-digit approval dip from a key demographic he needs: Democrats.
The latest findings on Democrats’ approval of Biden
Last month, Biden carried an approval rating of 86% among Democratic voters in this country. Fast forward to present day and now only 75% of Democrats approve of the president.
