Authorities are investigating a shocking case of San Francisco suspicious deaths after four people were found dead in a multimillion-dollar home on Monterey Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon. Police say the discovery was made during a welfare check at around 1:23 p.m. in one of the city’s quiet, upscale neighborhoods.

A Rare Tragedy in a Peaceful Neighborhood

According to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), the victims—believed to be family members—were found dead inside the home and pronounced dead at the scene. While the cause of death has not yet been determined, two law enforcement sources told KTVU-TV that investigators are exploring the possibility of a murder-suicide.

“This is a very rare occurrence in this neighborhood,” said Officer Robert Rueca, an SFPD spokesperson. “This area rarely sees any type of activity close to this.”
