The issue has always been a hot topic in American politics, but even more so since Roe v Wade was overturned in the Supreme Court, leaving abortion rights up to the states rather than being a federally guaranteed right. Beyoncé continued her speech by expressing her desire to create a better world for her daughters, one that previous generations of women fought for.
Icons Tyler Perry and Kelly Rowland also joined Beyoncé on the major platform, expressing their support for Kamala Harris. Rowland made a strong speech, highlighting how important this time of the election is and the importance of voting for your beliefs. Tyler Perry also made a speech, calling out some of Trump’s policies, the exclusionary nature of his rhetoric, and that of his associates.
