In the United States, a felony conviction prohibits individuals from owning a firearm, voting, and traveling to certain nations.

Many countries outright ban felonies from entering or stop their entry upon “discovering” that a person attempting to cross their borders has a felony conviction. Among the list of countries that fall into one of these categories are Japan, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Canada, Israel, Brazil, etc.

On Thursday, former President Trump was officially found guilty of 34 felony charges by a New York jury. At the root of these charges is the former president falsifying business records to cover up hush money payments to an adult film actress.

The president’s team sent out an email to supporters, underscoring the need to keep Trump from regaining power. In the message, it’s stated that “convicted felon or not,” the Republican Party will ultimately nominate Trump to represent them heading into the November election.
