Authorities say she was last seen at approximately 9:30 p.m. on January 31. Since then, law enforcement has combed the area for physical and digital evidence, with particular attention now directed toward surveillance devices, including a Ring doorbell system installed at the home.

Security System Evidence Draws Investigative Focus

On the 12th day of the search, investigators erected a white tent around the walkway leading to the home’s front entrance—directly in front of the Ring doorbell, a key component of the “Security System” now under scrutiny.

The move signaled a shift toward forensic analysis of potential trace evidence and digital data. Footage released from a Google Nest camera revealed a suspicious individual approaching the front door. The person appeared to be wearing dark gloves, a zip-up hoodie, sweats, a backpack, and a balaclava—suggesting a deliberate attempt to conceal identity.

Former FBI agent Jason Pack explained the significance of this digital evidence in an interview with Fox News, stating:

“In every investigation, when you get a trip or return from the search warrant, there’s a cast team and cellular analysis team that looks at the phone and digital data.”

Digital Clues and “Micro Dots” Lead Investigators Forward

Pack further elaborated on how investigators use sophisticated tracking techniques to identify movement patterns and possible suspects. “There are microdots they can track to see if any devices passed through,” he said. “That’s probably why you saw agents out there at 3 a.m.”

According to Pack, digital breadcrumbs—such as device pings or dropped items—can be pivotal.

Authorities reportedly discovered a black glove roughly a mile away from the home along Campbell Avenue. Fox News correspondent Matt Finn emphasized its possible importance.

The footage captured by the home’s “Security System” has become a focal point in reconstructing the timeline of events. Investigators are analyzing not only the suspect’s appearance but also movement patterns, timing, and any associated digital signals.

The gloves worn by the individual have drawn particular attention, as they may indicate premeditation and an effort to avoid leaving fingerprints. At the same time, the presence of a backpack suggests the possibility that items were either brought to or removed from the scene.
