In contrast to many members of his party, Democrat Chris Coons dismissed motions for President Trump's impeachment, as reported by Breitbart News.

Coons' Remarks and Calls to Impeach President Trump

On Wednesday, Coons issued the following statements regarding calls to impeachment of the President:

"I’m not calling for the President’s impeachment at this point because I don’t think we’ve seen the sorts of evidence that would justify it at this point. I’m a political realist. It’s a Republican-controlled House and Senate."

"Impeachment won’t move forward unless there is something that shocks the conscience of the average American and persuades a majority of Republicans this President committed high crimes and misdemeanors. It’s premature to even discuss that."

Calls to impeach President Trump predate his time in office as noted by Wikipedia. However, since his Presidency, Democrats have made seven attempts to remove him from office. The aforesaid attempts followed the President's termination of former FBI director James Comey, Comey's testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee, and the Alt-Right's Unite The Right rally. Democrats have also alleged that President Trump has obstructed justice, "trampled" on the Constitution, and more.

They have furthermore accused the Commander-In-Chief of tying himself to white supremacists and Neo Nazis. This followed President Trump's public condemnation of racism, white supremacy, violence, and hatred.

America's Response to Cries For Impeachment

Similarly to Democrat Chris Coons, Americans have criticized Democrats who have moved to impeach the President. The Commander-In-Chief has not yet committed any crimes which warrant impeachment, many people noted. Furthermore, as stated by Coons, Republicans control both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Readers of Breitbart News have moreover chastised Democrats who have motioned to impeach President Trump:

"Keep trying to impeach Democrats, meanwhile, we Conservatives will reshape the country that leaves no place for you Marxists."

"The Democrats have been talking about impeaching Trump since the second he was elected. They are like children throwing tantrums... not very bright children."

"Trump will NEVER be impeached and he will be President for another 7 years. Get over it liberals."

"We do know the Democrats have committed high crimes and misdemeanors, perhaps even felonies!!"
