Ex-MLB Pitcher Danny Serafini Arrested in Connection to 2021 Lake Tahoe Attack that Left Man Dead

Serafini spent three seasons with the Twins. He also donned the jerseys of the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Cincinnati Reds before concluding his career with the Colorado Rockies in 2007. 

Throughout his career, Serafini played in 104 games, accumulating a record of 15 wins and 16 losses with a 6.04 earned run average.

 The San Francisco Chronicle highlighted that Serafini had family connections to the Spohrs. He was married to their daughter Erin and they owned a Nevada bar that gained notoriety after its appearance on the television show “Bar Rescue” in 2015, although it eventually closed its doors.

The Crime

Surveillance footage from the Spohr and Wood residence provided crucial evidence, depicting a hooded man with a face covering and a backpack approaching the home hours before the attack. Police contend that Serafina is that man. Another video shows the same individual walking up the driveway, further corroborating the authorities’ case.
