LOS ANGELES, CA – Federal authorities have identified Elpidio Reyna as the chief suspect in a dramatic escalation of violence at recent anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles, shining a spotlight on the robust legal framework designed to protect federal officers—and signaling a new era of federal intervention.
Attorney General Pam Bondi, addressing the nation on Monday, confirmed, “That guy has just been identified, and they are doing a search warrant on his house as we speak. His name is Reyna. He is going to be on the Most Wanted list.” U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli corroborated the details, citing Reyna’s alleged involvement in a high-profile assault involving rocks thrown at federal vehicles, resulting in injury to a federal officer and significant property damage.
The FBI, which initially offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest, now considers Reyna “armed and dangerous.” A sweep of his residence is underway, and federal officials have placed him on the Most Wanted list.
