A Naperville man has been charged in a major fentanyl drug trafficking case after federal investigators intercepted a suspicious parcel containing 1,000 fentanyl tablets allegedly addressed to him. Authorities say the seizure likely prevented mass overdoses in the Chicago suburbs.
According to DuPage County prosecutors, Ahmad Dinah, 30, faces multiple felony charges, including trafficking a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, and possession of a controlled substance. His image was found on Linkedin, where he is described as an MD.
Intercepted Package Contained Deadly Amount of Fentanyl
Investigators with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service reportedly intercepted the package at a Chicago postal facility on November 3, after a K-9 unit alerted to its contents. The package, shipped from Anaheim, California, contained approximately 1,000 fentanyl-laced tablets, authorities said.
