Fentanyl and Drug Trafficking: Naperville Man Accused of Receiving 1,000 Deadly Tablets Through the Mail

Drug Trafficking Leads to Arrest

On November 5, officers conducted a controlled delivery to Dinah’s residence in the 1100 block of Iroquois Avenue in Naperville. Using a GPS tracker and a wire transmitter inside the package, detectives monitored Dinah as he accepted the parcel and brought it into his apartment.

Moments later, officers executed a search warrant. Inside, they found the fentanyl tablets unwrapped and stored near a sink in air-sealed plastic bags. Dinah was immediately arrested and taken into custody.

A judge denied pre-trial release, and Dinah is scheduled to appear in court on November 21. If convicted, he faces 18 to 20 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Authorities Praise Seizure as Life-Saving

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin praised the work of the Naperville Police Department, calling the operation “a model of proactive policing.”
