Laura Bush shared her thoughts on the President's latest immigrant reform measures via a Washington Post opinion piece. Weeks ago, the Trump administration announced their decision to prosecute illegal immigrants who attempt to unlawfully cross the Southern border. Moreover, the administration affirmed that any children who accompany the aforementioned illegal immigrants will be separated from their parents.

This particular reform is one of the most controversial policies to come from the Trump administration. Americans have various ideas and opinions regarding the separation of migrant children from parents who illegally cross the border. Republicans and Democrats alike have also come forth and affirmed their grievances with the policies. However, some right-leaning Americans have stated that the policy ought to incentivize potential migrants to not attempt to sneak into the United States.
