Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger launched a probe into a Democratic group founded by former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams over allegations of " “aggressively” registering “ineligible, out-of-state, or deceased voters."

The investigation includes other Democrat-led groups throughout Georgia, including the New Georgia Project, America Votes, and Vote Forward.

In a statement on Wednesday, Raffensperger said, “I have issued clear warnings several times to groups and individuals working to undermine the integrity of elections in Georgia through false and fraudulent registrations,” declaring “The security of Georgia’s elections is of the utmost importance.”

Raffensperger said his office “received specific evidence that these groups have solicited voter registrations from ineligible individuals who have passed away or live out of state.” An example being America Votes purportedly sending absentee ballot applications to individuals who haven't lived at specific addresses since 1994.

In addition, Raffensperger targeted Vote Forward for supposedly registering a deceased woman from Alabama as a registered voter in the upcoming Senate run-off, which could potentially slide the Senate into a 50-50 deadlock with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as the tiebreaker. This effectively gives Democrats full control of Congress in addition to the presidency.

Currently, Raffensperger's office is utilizing a team of 23 investigators in 250 investigations of "credible claims of illegal voting" and electoral fraud. Abrams has been associated with the New Georgia Project, previously run by Democratic Senate candidate Raphael Warnock.

A Fulton County resident reportedly told investigators they had received five postcards in the mail from the New Georgia Project soliciting registration. The trouble is, it was soliciting the registration of a deceased individual. Another Cherokee County resident reported that their daughter, who is ineligible to vote, was also solicited by Abrams' group.

For Republicans, it is crucial to do everything within their reach to ensure Democrats are not victorious in Georgia's upcoming run-off election. Indeed, the balance of power in Washington is at stake.
