The Father’s Day Incident That Changed Everything

According to the arrest report filed by Doral police, Davis arrived at his ex-girlfriend’s residence on June 15 to collect the two children they share. However, what should have been a straightforward custody exchange quickly deteriorated into violence when a dispute arose between the former couple.

The situation escalated rapidly when Davis allegedly declared he was no longer interested in taking the children for his scheduled visitation. When his ex-girlfriend reached into his vehicle to retrieve their daughter, Davis allegedly responded with shocking violence, punching the woman in the head and slapping her across the face.

The assault didn’t end there. According to police reports, Davis continued his aggressive behavior, while the victim’s mother was on the other end of a facetime call allowing her to see evidence of the boxer “raging and throwing a box”at the victim.

A Pattern of Alleged Violence Emerges

This Father’s Day incident represents a troubling continuation of Davis’ alleged history of domestic violence. In 2020, the boxer faced similar charges after video footage captured him grabbing the mother of his child by the neck during a charity basketball game at the University of Miami. Davis later turned himself in to face misdemeanor battery charges related to that incident.

The emergence of this pattern raises serious questions about Davis’ ability to control his emotions and behavior, particularly in situations involving the mothers of his children. For family court judges evaluating custody arrangements, such patterns carry significant weight in determining what serves the children’s best interests.
