Hundreds of torch-bearing white supremacists clashed against Antifa counter-protestors, causing wide damage to property and violence resulting in the death of one woman after a car was maliciously driven into the crowd.
As leader of the white nationalists, Spencer was widely blamed for the events that day. Now, he blasted Scott’s decision as “major overkill.”
In a phone interview, he mocked the situation, calling it “flattering” that he be treated with the same seriousness as a hurricane.

In California, a similar scene occurred when speaker Milo Yiannopoulus spoke on a Berkeley campus and violent Antifa protestors fought to shut him down. Last month, Ben Shapiro went to speak at the same campus – but this time there was an overwhelming police presence which quickly nullified any would-be violent protestors.
