“Our communities deserve safety from conduct like the audacious daylight robbery in San Ramon. Thanks to the excellent investigative work by the San Ramon Police Department, these defendants will face significant punishment.”

How the Heist Unfolded

The suspects burst into Heller Jewelers around 1:50 p.m., smashing display cases and grabbing rings, watches, necklaces, and bracelets. When the store’s front door locked behind them, one suspect fired shots from a 9mm handgun, shattering the glass to escape.

Police later recovered stolen jewelry after tracking the suspects to Oakland, where they were arrested on International Boulevard. Jimmy Ray’s arraignment is set for September 29 in Contra Costa Superior Court, with other arraignments pending.
