Recent U.S. airstrikes in Yemen have dealt severe blows to the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, according to a report from Al-Ain media in the UAE.
The report states, “The US military has intensified its airstrikes on Houthi militia bases, facilities, and command centers in their main stronghold in Saada Governorate, northern Yemen.”
Houthi Missile Attacks on Israel
On Thursday, the Israeli military intercepted two long-range missiles launched from Yemen before they crossed into Israeli territory.
The attack set off sirens in multiple locations, including Jerusalem. The Houthis, who have been supporting Hamas in its conflict with Israel, have continued launching missiles and drones at Israel despite U.S. efforts to weaken them.
The Iranian-backed Houthis attempted to showcase their firepower by launching the missiles in broad daylight.
Despite ongoing U.S. airstrikes, the group remains aggressive, targeting Israel and disrupting maritime activity in the Red Sea.
U.S. Airstrikes Continue on Houthi Militia
Al-Ain reported that “the US military launched a new series of airstrikes early Wednesday morning, targeting militia barracks and hideouts east of Saada city and Al Salem district in the same governorate.”
