To say the Biden presidency has left much to be desired would be a massive understatement.

At this time, the two most pressing issues confronting the United States are inflation and expensive gas prices. Both of these economic issues are facing dismissal from the White House, though.

According to Biden, the president of Russia is to blame for both inflation and gas costs. However, inflation long predates Putin's incursion of Ukraine; meanwhile, Biden's anti-energy reforms are what truly set the course for today's high gas costs.

Poll after poll shows increasing disapproval from the American public on how Biden is operating various issues. Therefore, it's not all that startling to learn most US citizens don't expect Biden to run for another presidential term.

The odds of Biden running for re-election in 2024

Last year, the president stated his intention to win a second term in the White House. Yet, according to a fresh poll from the Wall Street Journal, most Americans don't believe Biden.

This poll revealed that only 29% of the American public believes Biden will actually run for another tenure as president. Meanwhile, 52% of the country feels the president won't actually go through with his run for re-election.

Just 19% told the Wall Street Journal they weren't sure about what Biden would do in 2024.

Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal maintains that private sources close to Biden note his indecisiveness about seeking another term. Apparently, the midterm elections in November will serve as a huge factor for whether Biden runs again.

Little to base a campaign on

When Biden ran for president in 2020, the basis of his campaign was a vow to "restore the soul" of the United States.

However, since Biden's gotten into office, few Americans can agree his presidency is restoring the nation's soul.

Some of the key points of Biden's presidency are as follows:

• Costing 13 servicemembers their lives and allowing the Taliban to regain power in Afghanistan
• Failing to stop Putin from invading Ukraine
• Attempting to pass nationwide COVID vaccine mandates that would later be overturned by the Supreme Court
• Record highs of inflation
• Record highs of gas prices

The list could go on and on.

However, should Biden run for president again, whichever Republican ends up challenging him will have a field day.
