Modine Heats Up Market with $112M L.B. White Buy

Modine Manufacturing Company, a leading thermal management technology provider, today announced its planned acquisition of L.B. White, a specialty heating solutions company, in a transaction valued at $112 million. The deal, supported by legal counsel from Godfrey & Kahn, marks a strategic expansion in Modine’s heating portfolio and aligns with its long-term growth strategy.

Founded in Onalaska, Wisconsin, L.B. White is a recognized leader in heating solutions across agriculture, construction, and special event industries. Its offerings include direct-fired forced air, radiant, indirect-fired, and electric heating technologies. The company also maintains manufacturing and distribution operations in Georgia and expects to report $73.5 million in revenue for its fiscal year ending Saturday.

Modine highlighted L.B. White’s strong market position in swine and poultry agriculture heating, along with leadership in portable heating solutions across North America. Once finalized, the acquisition will integrate L.B. White into Modine’s HVAC Technologies product group, while retaining the company’s current leadership team.

The transaction is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings, with additional growth potential and synergy-driven cost savings.

The Modine acquisition of L.B. White is expected to close Saturday, pending customary conditions.
