This week, the Democratic National Convention of 2024 is running from Monday, August 19 to Thursday, August 22. During this event, Vice President Kamala Harris will formally accept the party’s nomination for the general election.

Based in Chicago, Illinois, the DNC is expected to attract at least 50,000 visitors, many of whom are official delegates. Throughout these four days, Democrats will champion the Harris-Walz ticket while focusing on themes of freedom and bettering the future.

Many Democratic leaders are looking forward to this convention and see it as a precursor to major wins in November. However, not everyone on the left is thrilled with the direction of their party. As a matter of fact, some folks who sympathize with Palestine in the Middle East are planning to protest this week’s convention.
