Critics of the Portland mayor note that despite the violence in his own community, Wheeler seems angrier with Trump than with the individuals burning, looting, and destroying Portland.
The media, on the other hand, has begun to speculate that riots happening in Portland and other cities may backfire on Democrats’ attempts to win the 2020 presidential election. In spite of this, however, the mayhem continues to rage on.
Meanwhile, riots in Portland have already resulted in the death of at least one known Trump supporter.
