Trump administration can obtain 300 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine for Americans

“It will end the pandemic,” he said. The Trump administration said it has a program in place to obtain doses to 300 million Americans within six months.

The chief executive also floated his legal challenges in the 2020 presidential elections, as he called on state legislatures and courts to “have the courage to do what everybody in this country knows is right.” Trump has accused President-elect Joe Biden of securing victory because of widespread voter fraud.

Democrats have pushed for the transition to the White House and usher in the new administration, with COVID-19 response also on top of Biden’s agenda.

Biden said it is determined to get at least 100 million COVID-19 vaccine shots “into the arms of the American people” during his first 100 days in office.

On Tuesday, Biden said his first months in office would change the course of the United States’ COVID-19 strategy, adding that he would make it a “national priority” to get children back to school during that time. He vowed to run “the most efficient mass vaccination plan in U.S. history.”

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom, which was the first country to grant emergency use authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, already started its mass vaccination program. A 90-year-old woman, Margaret Keenan was the world’s first person to receive a vaccination to prevent the deadly disease.
