Gradual Recovery: A Glimmer of Hope for Law Graduates
The landscape for recent law school graduates is showing promising signs of improvement. According to recent data released by the American Bar Association (ABA), the unemployment rate for these fresh professionals is on a downward trajectory as the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to diminish.
In March, a mere 5% of the law school class of 2023 were either unemployed or actively seeking work, a slight improvement from the 5.3% recorded among 2022 graduates at the same time last year. These figures, disclosed by the ABA’s accrediting arm, the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, highlight a subtle yet significant recovery.
