International digital banking powerhouse Revolut has surged to a $75 billion valuation, announcing Monday that it completed a major share sale backed by heavyweight investors including U.S. firm Coatue Management LLC and semiconductor titan Nvidia. The move marks one of the most striking leaps in value for a private fintech, pushing Revolut toward the upper echelon of global financial technology giants.

Global Investors Pile In as Revolut’s Worth Skyrockets

Revolut Group Holdings Ltd., headquartered in London, revealed that its valuation soared from $45 billion in 2024 to $75 billion, though the company kept the specific financial terms of the transaction under wraps. The fresh capital primarily provided liquidity to existing employees—an increasingly common approach for maturing tech companies offering staff a chance to cash out.

Victor Stinga, Revolut’s head of finance, said the intensity of investor interest underscores the company’s surging momentum. “Our new valuation mirrors the power of our business model, which is producing both rapid growth and sustained profitability,” Stinga noted, calling the investor roster “world-class.”

Top-Tier Backers Lead the Charge

The share sale was spearheaded by Coatue, Greenoaks Capital Partners LLC, Dragoneer Investment Group LLC, and Fidelity Management & Research Co.—the investment adviser for financial giant Fidelity Investments.

Nvidia’s venture capital arm, NVentures, also participated, strengthening Revolut’s collaboration with the chip giant “in core areas such as AI,” according to the fintech. Nvidia’s involvement signals a deeper alignment between financial technology and machine-learning innovation.

The list didn’t stop there. Andreessen Horowitz, Franklin Templeton parent Franklin Resources, Inc., and funds advised by T. Rowe Price Associates Inc. also took positions.

Expansion Milestones Fueled the Share Sale

Revolut said it launched the offering after a period of strong financial results and global expansion victories. Recent milestones include banking authorizations in Mexico and Colombia, along with plans to roll out services in Mexico and India.

CEO Nik Storonsky said the latest valuation reflects Revolut’s “remarkable progress” toward becoming the first truly global digital bank, aiming to reach 100 million customers across 100 countries.

Previous Valuation and Recent Investor Movements

Revolut previously hit a $45 billion valuation in August 2024 during another secondary share sale led by Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, and Tiger Global Management.

Meanwhile, British investor Molten Ventures PLC recently reduced its stake in the fintech, selling roughly £23 million ($30 million) worth of shares and retaining an interest valued around £130 million. The firm did not disclose its remaining ownership percentage.
