The bereaved family of Mallory Beach, a 19-year-old who tragically lost her life in a 2019 boating incident involving the notorious Murdaugh family’s boat in South Carolina, has brokered a settlement agreement amounting to $15 million with a convenience store owner, Parker’s Corporation, as affirmed by the family’s legal representation.
Beach’s life was tragically cut short on February 23, 2019, during an ostensibly alcohol-laden excursion aboard the Murdaugh family boat along the South Carolina shoreline.
Murdaugh Boat Crash
Paul Murdaugh, offspring of the now infamous attorney Alex Murdaugh, was commandeering the boat when it violently collided with a bridge in the vicinity of Parris Island, hurling several occupants overboard. The body of Beach was subsequently discovered about five miles from the crash site eight days later.
Earlier on the fatal day, Paul allegedly made illegal purchases of alcohol from a Parker’s Corporation-owned convenience store using his mother, Maggie Murdaugh’s credit card, and his elder brother Buster Murdaugh’s ID, all while underage.
