Biden Administration Called Out for Hypocrisy on Keystone XL Pipeline

Earlier this month, Russian hackers launched a successful cyberattack against Colonial pipeline. The attack engendered not only massive gas shortages across the United States, but also a new spotlight on how the Biden administration has threatened U.S. energy independence.

Earlier this year, President Biden signed an executive order that shut down Keystone pipeline, killing the thousands of jobs associated with it. Biden, claimed without evidence, that the pipeline posed environmental harm; yet, the Democrat president’s administration has changed their tune on pipelines amid the aforementioned gas shortages.

Days ago, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm arrived at the epiphany that pipelines are necessary for oil transportation in America. Granholm, who infamously favored the removal of Keystone pipeline, is now under fire for hypocrisy.

Feedback from Keystone pipeline workers and businesses

Businesses and workers with connections to Keystone pipeline are not impressed with the president or his energy secretary. Many of these people now question how the Biden administration can take their current actions in good conscious. Others additionally stated that Biden “sold out” union workers and others who relied on Keystone pipeline.
