According to the commander-in-chief, he believes Americans ought to maintain “a certain freedom.” Biden, however, feels very differently as it pertains to face coverings.
A closer look at Biden’s push for a federal mask mandate
As Election Day gets closer, Biden’s campaign is working overtime to promote mandatory face masks. Last week at a news conference, the former vice president opined that all Americans should wear face masks. He even stated that people should wear masks when they’re outside for a minimum of three months.
Biden’s push for compulsory face coverings hasn’t stopped there, however. In a series of new campaign ads, the former vice president has called for an “immediate” federal face mask requirement. These ads are expected to air in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, and North Carolina.
In addition to a federal mask mandate, Biden is pushing for more production of personal protective equipment (PPE) and an expansion of COVID-19 testing. The former vice president has also repeatedly maintained that electing him into office will further the fight against COVID-19 and better the economy.
