For quite some time, the Clinton family has maintained their status as prominent figures within American politics. As the 42nd president of the United States, Bill Clinton made quite a name for himself, despite various scandals and allegations against him. While Hillary Clinton never became president (in spite of multiple attempts) she still carved out a name for herself in politics.

However, the Democrat Party has significantly shifted since the Clintons' managed to establish themselves. As a matter of fact, certain Democrats of today aren't too happy about the Clintons, namely Hillary, continuing to assert themselves in politics.

On Friday, left-wing comedian and TV show host Bill Maher expressed his interest in seeing the Clinton family "go away" for good.

Why Bill Maher Wants the Clintons to Leave Politics

Maher made no bones about articulating his grievances with the Clinton family. The comedian declared that the Clintons aren't doing the Democrat Party any favors; he also went as far as to claim that Hillary Clinton herself is a "Donald Trump asset." Maher's assessment comes as Clinton feuds with Tulsi Gabbard and the president.

Earlier this month, Clinton took aim at Gabbard, branding her as a "favorite of the Russians." Clinton then alleged that various Russian sites and bots are dedicated to propping up Gabbard in the 2020 election. Gabbard, in turn, slammed Clinton as the "personification of the rot" with the Democrat Party; then, she dared Clinton to get into the 2020 race.

Clinton has also gone on record claiming that she possesses the capability to defeat Trump "again."

As a result of all this, Maher's assessment of the Clinton family reads as follows:

"It seems like every few months, Hillary Clinton bubbles up again. people are like, ‘Oh, she’s thinking about running.’ Or she says something crazy. [...] The Clintons — they’ve got to go away! I’m saying this a year out. They can’t be at the convention. Maybe on the video, waving or something, but I’m serious!"

Interestingly enough, Bill Maher has also taken aim at the current field of 2020 Democrats; this comes in spite of him being a left-winger.

Over the weekend, Maher spoke about the 2020 race on his show. The comedian took aim at Democrat candidates for being too "crazy."

Maher also stated that 2020 ought to be an easy beat against Trump. In a nutshell, Maher's argument maintains that Democrats are playing into the president's hands by adopting radically far-left policies.
