On a regular Saturday morning, the tranquility of Baltimore’s downtown district was abruptly shattered when a Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) CityLink Blue bus crashed into two cars, and came to rest in a building, leaving a total of 17 people injured. The bus crash in Baltimore occurred around 10:15 am, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation and the MTA spokesperson Jerimiah Moerke.

Baltimore Bus Crash : Unraveling the Incident

The bus crash saw an MTA bus first collide with a Lexus at the intersection of North Paca Street and West Mulberry Street.

Following this, the bus hit a Nissan and ultimately ended up lodged in a building at 500 West Franklin Street, as described by the Baltimore City Police.

No critical, life-threatening injuries were reported, but the sight of the bus crashed into the building, as seen in the footage from WJZ-TV, demonstrated the severity of the incident.

Emergency services were promptly on the scene, responding to what the Baltimore City Fire Department, in light of the number of patients involved, had to escalate to a level one mass casualty incident.
