Centegix, a cloud-based wearable safety technology company, provides tools that help notify law enforcement of emergencies quickly.

“The technology alerts law enforcement after buttons are pressed on an ID and warns that there is an active situation at the school,” police officials stated. According to the company’s website, Centegix’s safety solutions aim to create secure environments using technology that offers real-time response capabilities.

Identifying Threats

Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey explained that the school’s protocols, combined with the Centegix system, helped mitigate further tragedy. “The protocols at this school and this system activated today prevented this from being a much larger tragedy than what we had here today,” Hosey said.

The system discreetly alerts law enforcement to emergencies and provides precise location details, including updated floor plans.

Centegix also allows for the identification of building visitors and the locations of safety assets, such as AEDs, first aid kits, and fire alarms. The platform’s audiovisual notifications help warn bystanders about active threats.
