Furthermore, the email highlighted that the rescission of job offers is in line with the firm’s commitment to maintaining a supportive and inclusive work environment. These actions signify that the students are no longer welcome at Davis Polk.

Despite inquiries, representatives of Davis Polk did not immediately respond to requests for comment on this matter.

This development comes in the wake of Winston & Strawn LLP confirming that they revoked a job offer to a former summer associate and former New York University School of Law Student Bar Association President, Ryna Workman. The New York Post reported that Workman, using they/them pronouns, conveyed “absolute solidarity with Palestinians in their resistance against oppression” in a message to the NYU Law Student Bar Association. They also stated that “Israel bears full responsibility for this tremendous loss of life.” This message ignited swift online backlash, including criticism from the nonprofit watchdog organization StopAntisemitism, which claimed that Workman lost their job offer for “penning a horrifying justification for the murder, rape, and kidnapping of Jews” in a school newsletter.
