Sean "Diddy" Combs faces increasing legal trouble as one of his attorneys, Anthony Ricco, filed a motion to withdraw from the mogul’s defense team on February 21. The Diddy legal challenges continue to mount.

Ricco did not specify a reason for his departure but stated in an affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, "under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs."

Combs has been accused of sexual misconduct in multiple lawsuits, though he has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Lawsuit Filed by Kirk Burrowes

On February 28, attorney Tyrone Blackburn filed an 18-page complaint against Combs on behalf of Kirk Burrowes, a co-founding partner and former president of Bad Boy Entertainment.

The lawsuit, filed in New York, alleges years of "predatory" behavior by Combs, along with fostering a "toxic environment of coercion, fear, and psychological manipulation."

Burrowes' complaint details what he describes as a "deeply disturbing pattern" of sexual abuse, coercion, violence, and intimidation spanning over a decade.

The filing accuses Combs of subjecting Burrowes to "repeated sexual harassment, physical aggression and forced compliance with degrading sexual acts."

He claimed Combs would sometimes commit this abuse occurring during what were supposed to be business meetings.

Allegations of Financial Extortion

According to the lawsuit, Combs escalated his "campaign of control" through "physical violence, blackmail, career sabotage, and financial extortion." The complaint asserts that Burrowes was coerced into relinquishing his 25% ownership stake in Bad Boy Entertainment.

Burrowes previously sued Combs over an alleged 1996 incident in 2003, but that case was dismissed.

In addition to suing Combs, Burrowes has also filed legal action against Combs' mother, Janice Combs, alleging that she unlawfully took control of his ownership stake in Bad Boy Entertainment.

Court documents obtained by PEOPLE claim that she "knowingly participated in the fraudulent scheme to obtain 100% control" of the company, portraying herself as "an innocent bystander while orchestrating the plaintiff’s financial and professional downfall behind the scenes."

Diddy Legal Challenges: Attorney Responds

In response, Combs’ legal team dismissed the lawsuit as baseless, stating: "This latest lawsuit filed by Kirk Burrowes, filed by none other than Tyrone Blackburn, is another frivolous attempt to re-litigate claims that have been repeatedly thrown out of court over the past 30 years."
