Entrata, a leading operating system for multifamily housing communities, today announced it has reached a $4.3 billion valuation after securing a $200 million minority investment from private equity giant Blackstone. The transaction was led by Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP, with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC advising Entrata.
Entrata provides an innovative, centralized property management technology platform, delivering solutions that streamline accounting, purchasing, facilities management, leasing, and more. Currently, over twelve million residents in the world’s largest property management portfolios utilize Entrata’s platform to enhance operational efficiency and resident experience.
“Blackstone’s $200 million investment represents a powerful alignment of capital and expertise that will accelerate our mission to deliver world-class technology to a broader network of property owners, operators, and residents,” said Adam Edmunds, CEO of Entrata. “We value Blackstone’s partnership as we drive new levels of efficiency and continue to enhance the rental housing ecosystem.”
Entrata’s platform supports critical property management functions such as work order tracking, financial management, and online payments. The company also offers a resident portal designed to foster improved communication and self-service capabilities for tenants.
This latest investment from Blackstone builds upon Entrata’s previous growth fueled by a majority investment from Silver Lake in 2021, underscoring the company’s expanding footprint in the rental housing industry.
“We are pleased to invest in Entrata as they continue to innovate technology solutions that transform the property management sector,” said Brian Dunlap, Managing Director at Blackstone. “Partnering with Adam and his team, we look forward to supporting continued advancements that enhance both client and resident experiences.”
Recent innovations from Entrata include ELI+, an integrated platform that modernizes leasing, payments, and renewals, and Homebody, a solution focused on resident engagement and retention.
The Entrata legal advisory team was led by Wilson Sonsini partners Rezwan Pavri, Colin Conklin, and Lester Ang. Blackstone’s legal counsel was headed by Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP U.S. private equity co-heads Kyle Krpata and Christopher Machera.
