The final House vote was 427-1, with only Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) opposing the measure. Lawmakers across the political spectrum expressed a shared desire for transparency after years of public speculation and political friction surrounding Epstein’s connections.

Within hours of the vote, Senate leaders signaled that they would not attempt to block the bill. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) confirmed that a hotline was being run to identify any potential Republican objections, while Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) later asked if anyone opposed unanimous passage. When no objections surfaced, the bill was deemed approved.
