A Florida couple has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of teen mom, Miranda Corsette, 16. Her dismembered remains were discarded in a dumpster.

Authorities say the victim was lured through a social media app before being kidnapped, tortured, and ultimately killed.

Victim Lured Through Social Media

According to St. Petersburg police, Corsette was last seen on surveillance footage entering the home of Steven Gress, 35, on February 14. Police believe Gress had lured the teen to his residence under false pretenses.

Authorities allege that Corsette was held captive in the home Gress shared with his domestic partner, Michelle Brandes, 37. The couple reportedly suspected Corsette of stealing a ring and subjected her to severe abuse.

A police affidavit obtained by the Tampa Bay Times reveals horrifying details of the teen’s ordeal.

The document states that the suspects “held the victim against her will for more than seven days and tortured her by repeatedly beating the victim and eventually stuffing a billiard ball into her mouth and wrapping her face with plastic wrap, causing her to suffocate.”
